'Reducing and Reusing Penryn's Food Waste'

This project aims to raise awareness of food waste and give people tips on how to lower their food waste through bookmarks, posters, and a video game. They have also researched, and are proposing to the University as part of this project, the benefits of installing an anaerobic digester on campus. The third part of the project aims to connect with the local community. This is so that they can supplement the university’s food waste that goes into their anaerobic digester with that fromlocal businesses and farms. They could then re-distribute the products of anaerobic digestion to these farms as fertiliser, creating a mutually beneficial cycle.
