SurvivEX

This group started with a survey of university students, which found that the majority of students feel unsafe when walking home in the dark; think Estate Patrol isn’t enough; don’t use the Night Bus due to feeling unsafe on it; and were unaware of various University safety programmes. Therefore, they created SurvivEX – a self-defence kit that the university provides free to freshers, thus making it freely accessible. It would contain a rape alarm, bottle stopper/anti-spiking lid, drink caps, and self-defence spray. It would also come with an information leaflet on how to use the kit and safety information like what to do when you’ve been spiked and emergency contacts.
