Concrete Jungles
This project integrates sustainable solutions to green living in future cities, implementing several features which assist in sustainable living, devising a building plan to achieve this. The plans include rooftop gardens which provide local connection with plants whilst building community, benefitting well-being. Another feature proposed is using algae panels to provide energy to power to multiple households, creating a cooling effect that can save energy needed for air conditioning. Bioreceptive concrete additionally allows two layered concrete allows moss to grow across a building's facade; providing thermal regulation, boosting mental wellbeing, and assisting in air purification. Overall, through implementing biological elements in city building, it can allow for a more sustainable, cheaper and more efficient alternative to city buildings. You can visit their website here.
