Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences
Language modules are a fantastic opportunity to appreciate a different culture whilst learning a new language in a supportive and engaging environment. The classes provide a refreshing change from other modules, including different forms of assessment and the chance to work with students from other disciplines and year groups. I have especially enjoyed this as the seminars allow you to interact with a range of students, forming great working relationships with both your peers and the lecturer. Aside from all the benefits of learning a language, the seminars provide an excellent setting to nurture your communication and creativity, which are invaluable skills for any undergraduate. Looking back at my degree, Spanish has been a highlight and I am certain that all the language modules available in the FLC will be fun and fulfilling if you decide to try them.
