Emotional and mental health support

If something is affecting your emotional or mental health and you would like support, there are several options listed below.

If you study on our Devon campuses please go to the Devon Wellbeing Services site for your Emotional and Mental Health Support options.

Urgent or emergency situation

If you feel unsafe and/or feel you need help right now, read our urgent support options.

Speak to a wellbeing specialist at the University

Complete the confidential support form to connect with our wellbeing specialists. If you prefer not to complete a form you can email studentservices@fxplus.ac.uk or give us a call on 01326 370 460. You can also visit the Compass helpdesk based in the library. We offer drop-in appointments between 10:00 and 15:00 in-person or online/telephone.

Speak to the Education Welfare Team

If your emotional or mental health issue is affecting your ability to study or studying is creating a health problem for you, please speak to the Education Welfare Team.

Speak to your doctor

It can be a good idea to speak to a doctor about how you are feeling. Your doctor may be able to refer you to other professionals or services who can help. They may also discuss medication with you if it is relevant.

We recommend all students register with a doctor local to where you live while you are studying with us. You can still see your usual doctor as a guest when you go home for holidays. Find out more about doctor’s surgeries local to our campuses.
