Exeter Access Centre
Following changes to the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) the University of Exeter Access Centre is closing on 30th August 2024. From this date, all queries from students previously assessed will be re-directed externally to the relevant contact points.
Students previously assessed at Exeter University Access Centre
Students previously assessed at Exeter Access Centre should now approach their funding body for any general queries or changes to their DSA support needs. We recommend students include their customer reference number in all correspondence. All details can be found online and you may find the following links helpful:

- For students funded by the Channel Islands

New applications for DSA
Students who have a disability, mental health condition, neurodiversity, chronic illness and/or learning difference may remain eligible to apply for the DSA. This is a grant that can fund a diverse range of support; further details can be found here.
Student Finance England students will be directed to an assessment provider in one of the 4 new Assessment Zones: via either Capita or Study Tech.
Assessments for UKRI and Apprenticeship Degree Study Needs Assessments
The university AccessAbility team remains able to carry out DSA Assessments and offer ongoing support for the following funding bodies:
- UKRI - covering the full range of research councils
- Apprenticeship degree study needs assessments
In the first instance students should contact AccessAbility@exeter.ac.uk or call 01392 723880 and the team will advise on the next steps for arrangements. Please note, all students not previously known to Wellbeing will be invited to fill out a prospective student form as a first step.
