As you start your Study Abroad or Exchange journey, whether you're coming to Exeter for a full year or one semester, we look forward to welcoming you to the University.

Full Year Students
If you're coming for the full year starting in September, you will qualify for our accommodation guarantee and you will be able to apply for accommodation along with other home and international undergraduate students.

Short term Study Abroad and International Exchange students for academic year 2024-25
- If you are joining us as part of a Study Abroad and International Exchange* programme for one semester, you will be able to apply for our small number of rooms in short-term University accommodation.
- The date that you will be able to apply from depends on whether you are joining us in Semester 1 or Semester 2 - take a look at the When to Apply section below for help.
- We have a limited number of rooms available and applications will be dealt with in date order of us receiving the applications.
*Due to the limited number of bedspaces available for semester students, we are currently only able to accept applications for University accommodation from students studying for their first semester programme. Students who are returning to complete a further semester programme will need to secure private accommodation in the city.
When to apply
- You are unable to apply for your accommodation until your Study Abroad and International Exchange application has been processed by the Global Opportunities Inbound Team and you have been issued with your University of Exeter Student ID number.
- Once you have accepted your offer, you have entered a legally binding contract and you will need to make the pay for the entire length of your accommodation contract as detailed below.

*Please note if you have exams on the same day as your contract end date, you will need to vacate your room by 10:00am on that day and you will be responsible for making appropriate storage arrangements for your belongings.
