"All of my lecturers are really passionate about their teaching and have been more than willing to help if I have any questions. In assignments they give you a lot of freedom to showcase your learning so if you want to focus on a certain area they give you the tools to do that.
A lot of second year modules are very leadership focused and no matter what roles I want to do in the future I know I want to become a leader, so these skills are really important.
Careers support at Exeter is really great and there’s so many events going on. It’s easy to get help building your CV, writing a cover letter and even just looking for a job. It’s easy to access this support, there’s lots of opportunities available to you and the careers team are really helpful."

"My programme is going really great. I was originally planning on studying a different programme but I transferred to Marketing and Management because I wanted to do something more practical and I wanted to study a business-related programme.
We get to choose some of our modules, so you can study what interests you. As well as the compulsory modules, I’m studying modules in Introduction to Finance and Personal Finance, so I’m getting a broader understanding of different important aspects of business."

"Half of my module credits are with the Business School and the other half are Spanish modules. It is all about combining business with a language. It is nice that it covers the core management modules and then you get one optional business module and one optional Spanish module a year. For me, it has been really nice being able to do different subjects but study them side by side. The way you learn and the way you are assessed are completely different.
I did a trip called the Global Learning Expedition. We went to Lisbon for a week-long business trip. We were split into groups and each group had a problem-solving project for a different company ranging from small start-ups to big multinational companies such as Airbus. We had a great time learning how projects are done within a business, developing skills and at the end of the week we had a pitch."

“I chose to study at Exeter because I did a foundation year at here first and really liked the campus. I definitely think the Streatham Campus is one of the best campuses in the UK.
Our lecturers have been helpful and willing to answer questions if you don’t understand something. For every module, the academics have office hours where you can book a one-to-one meeting with the lecturer to ask any questions. These aren’t compulsory but are helpful if you’re struggling.
I really enjoy living in Exeter, especially the mix between countryside and city. Often if the weather is good there are really nice sunsets and you can go to the top of the hill to watch them. At the same time the city centre is very modern with lots of shops and things to do. I like that the whole city is very new and modern as well as the campus.
As an international student, I found Exeter really welcoming. I found there was no difference in how international and UK students are treated, except maybe that international students are given a bit more support in the beginning. I live in Lafrowda Halls and most of the people there aren’t international students but they are so welcoming. All of my flatmates and friends in halls are really friendly.”
