Entry requirements for Pakistan

Undergraduate

Students with A levels, the International Baccalaureate Diploma or USA curriculum tests can apply for direct entry. See individual programme pages and USA country pages for information about entry requirements for these qualifications. The HSC (Higher Secondary School Certificate) is not suitable for direct entry to undergraduate programmes at the Univesity of Exeter. You would need to complete an international foundation year such as INTO International Foundation Year, available on the Streatham Campus in Exeter.

Postgraduate

Students who have completed 16 years of study (i.e 4 years of post-secondary education) can be considered for entry to Postgraduate Taught programmes.

Typical entry requirements
First Degree 4 year Bachelor's degree from a recognised Pakistan Institution (minimum 124 credits)
or 2 or 3 year Bachelor's Degree AND 2 year Master's degree fron a recognised Pakistan Institution
or A 5 year programme (such as 5 year LLB or 2 year bachelors AND 3 year LLB)
FirstCGPA 3.5+ or 80%+
2:1CGPA 3.01-3.49 or 70-79%
2:2CGPA 2.5-3.0 or 60-69%

Research courses

Applicants for postgraduate research programmes such as PhD or MPhil will will need to demonstrate experience of research methodologies, and normally be required to have completed a Bachelor's and Master's degree with a thesis or disseration.


English language requirements

Students will need to demonstrate that they have met our English Language Requirements, by achieving the required grades in suitable English Language qualifications, for entry to undergraduate or postgraduate courses.
