What did you enjoy most about your degree programme?
What I enjoyed most about my degree programme in Business Economics was the exceptional flexibility it offered. Beyond studying Economics, I had the opportunity to explore various modules from other departments, such as Management, Finance, and Business Analytics. This wide range of choices allowed me to gain a comprehensive understanding of different facets within the business sectors and enriched my learning experience significantly. It also enabled me to develop a well-rounded skill set, integrating knowledge from diverse fields, and fostering a holistic approach to problem-solving in business-related scenarios. Overall, this flexibility was a key highlight of my degree programme, empowering me to tailor my studies to align with my specific interests and career aspirations.
I have been awarded both the Dean's Commendation and School Commendation, signifying my exceptional achievements and determination during my academic journey. Transitioning from the Army to university life was challenging, but these awards validate my commitment to excellence in both my studies and personal growth. Furthermore, they inspire me to continue pursuing success in all aspects of my life and reinforce my potential to make valuable contributions to future endeavours and organizations.
What was the highlight of your time at Exeter?
Throughout my time at Exeter, every moment has been a highlight, making it difficult to single out a specific one. The experience has been truly enriching, and I am grateful for the friendships I forged over the three years. Additionally, the fun socials and events, especially EconSoc's Annual Winter Ball, hold a special place in my heart, creating cherished memories that I will carry with me into the future. The overall journey at Exeter has been remarkable, shaping me both personally and academically, and I will always treasure these memories.
What will you miss the most about University?
Walking up Forum Hill to attend my 8.30 am seminars. Jokes aside, I'll miss interacting with my favourite lecturers, Giancarlo, Arpita, Shaun, Gary, and Stephane.
What advice would you give to current and future students?
Read Gary Abraham's book, "7 Steps to Academic Success".
What are your plans now that you have graduated?
I have accepted an offer to join Arbuthnot Latham Private Bank at the end of August.
