Why did you decide that Exeter was the best place to study?
I was excited about the Law program as that was my specific area of interest. I also chose Exeter because of the beautiful campus and student town which is ideal for studying and safety.
Describe your typical day at Exeter
I might have a seminar early in the day (for example a constitutional law seminar, where my syndicate group and another would discuss a series of tasks with the seminar tutor), then walk with my syndicate group to the lecture hall for a lecture in another module (i.e Criminal Law). I would then usually go to the Library for a bit. Usually I would have dinner with my flatmates and then go out for the night with one of my societies (African-Caribbean Society, Asian Society).
What are the best aspects of studying within your department?
The lecturers are extremely engaged and knowledgeable.
What activities are you taking part in? Which clubs/societies or facilities/activities do you enjoy the most?
I really enjoy multicultural settings, I am a member of Asian Society and African Caribbean Society, through which I met a majority of my university friends. I also am part of BAME Law as the Welfare Officer, which focuses on embracing diversity within the Law School. I am also in the Law Society which allows me to get involved in career activities.
What’s the best thing about living in Exeter?
Everything is catered towards students, making campus life very easy; there are lots of student discounts and opportunities for work in town.
