As well as studying a subject you are passionate about, one of the main reasons for going to university is to get a great job after graduating. The 'Career Zones' at our Streatham and Penryn Campuses offer help at all stages of your career planning, whether you are deciding what to do, planning for your future, or competing for jobs.

“Exeter offers modularity, this allows you to make the course “yours” and to explore different areas that might benefit you personally and benefit your future career.
In my second year, I used modularity to take a 30-credit module in Communications, primarily because I was considering the possibility of a career in the media sector, such as writing for a digital publication.”

“The University encourages employability for our future careers. They run several career fairs across all disciplines, featuring a lot of big companies, during the term. They also have a designated Career Zone in the Forum building ready to help.

“Arriving at university can be quite exciting as it’s a new environment, but it can sometimes also be a challenge if you’re far from home, especially if you’re an international student like me.
I stayed in Glasney Parc, and when I first arrived my flatmates welcomed me really well. Glasney also has a reception open 24/7 to solve all your worries. Your room might appear empty and un-homely at first, but once you have filled it with all your possessions, it will become a little home and a comfortable place for you to settle into.”
