Progress checklist
In order to graduate as a University of Exeter Scholar, you will need to make sure you have completed a number of compulsory milestones as you progress through the programme.
Use this section of the website to check on your own progress and see what you still have left to do.

South West
If you live in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset then you can use the sections below to check on your progress.
If you joined the Exeter Scholars programme in Year 9 you will need to complete the following steps:
- Attend the Exeter Scholars launch event in Year 9
- Attend in school tutoring sessions in Years 9 – 11
- Achieve the required GCSE grades to progress into Year 12 and update your Exeter Scholars profile
- Complete the minimum time commitment for your chosen subject activity strand
- Complete the online assessment to become a Senior Scholar
If you joined the Exeter Scholars programme in Year 10 you will need to complete the following steps:
- Attend the Exeter Scholars Residential event in Year 10
- Log into the Exeter Scholars Year 11 online course at least twice
- Achieve the required GCSE grades to progress into Year 12 and update your Exeter Scholars profile
- Complete the minimum time commitment for your chosen subject activity strand
- Complete the online assessment to become a Senior Scholar
If you joined the Exeter Scholars programme in Year 12 you will need to complete the following steps:
- Attend the Exeter Scholars Student Conference in Year 12
- Complete the minimum time commitment for your chosen subject activity strand
- Complete the online assessment to become a Senior Scholar
Nationwide
If you live outside of Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset then you can use the sections below to check on your progress.
There are no nationwide Exeter Scholars pathways to start in Year 9 so please talk to your school and double-check when you started the programme.
If you joined the Exeter Scholars programme in Year 10 you will need to complete the following steps:
- Attend the Exeter Scholars Residential event in Year 10
- Log into the Exeter Scholars Year 11 online course at least twice
- Achieve the required GCSE grades to progress into Year 12 and update your Exeter Scholars profile
