Our Exeter Scholars workshops will include taster sessions on History, Politics, Law, Human Geography, and Environmental Humanities, giving you a sense of what it might be like to study these Humanities and Social Sciences subjects at degree level. You will hear from university lecturers working in areas such as social justice in education, international relations, heritage, environmental literature, and human rights, and have a chance to engage in discussions about these or related topics. There will be a mix of talks and workshops, and plenty of opportunities to interact with others; through conversations and small-group reflections about the topics covered, you’ll have a chance to share your own thoughts and ask questions about the content of talks and workshops, as well as hear from others on the programme. You'll also get the opportunity to meet some of our current University of Exeter students! We are a friendly and welcoming bunch, and this subject activity strand of the Exeter Scholars programme will provide a great opportunity to find out what studying at university is like. The wide range of subjects represented also means that this strand is perfect for participants still narrowing down their subject specialism, enabling you to actively explore the University's teaching and research expertise across a range of disciplines.
