Activity Locations

All subject activity sessions will take place on the University of Exeter St Luke's campus. Some sessions may involve visits to the Research, Innovation, Learning, and Development (RILD) building or the Clinical Skills space.

In collaboration with experienced staff and enthusiastic students, each of our sessions will focus on a new step in the journey to Medicine, from application to qualification and beyond. You will have the opportunity to learn about the practice of medicine from a variety of perspectives, gain insight into course structure and requirements, and to explore the key skills that underpin every aspect of this incredibly varied, vibrant, and competitive field. 

Our interactive sessions will take place in and around a variety of specialised teaching environments, state-of-the-art teaching equipment and – best of all – the professionals whose working lives span the clinical, research, and teaching aspects of the ever-changing field of medicine. 

Participation is key: by engaging fully in these sessions, you will have an exceptional opportunity to develop and refine many of the skills crucial for success in your future career in medicine. 

This subject activity strand has contributions from the following degree programmes:

  • BMBS Medicine
  • BSc Medical Sciences

In order to be considered for this activity strand, students must be:

Studying Biology and Chemistry at A Level

OR

Studying Biology and Chemistry at Higher Level (International Baccalaureate).

 

NB: Equivalents in BTEC / other qualifications alone will not be accepted, as they are not accepted for the BMBS Medicine degree course. A Level or IB in the specified subjects is essential. 

In order to pass the programme, you must attend a minimum of 5 out of 6 subject activity sessions, as well as the Exeter Scholars Student Conference.
