This is an individual project, meaning that you will be working on your own, with the guidance of an academic staff supervisor. You will be expected to follow the principles of software development which you have learnt in the Stage 2 modules ECM2414 Software Development and ECM2415 Software Engineering.
PRE-REQUISITE MODULES ECM2414, ECM2415, ECM3429 (Term of Computer Science Study Abroad)
This module is intended for students taking “Study Abroad” option in the MSci Computer Science programme. The aim of this module is to give you the opportunity to develop a substantial piece of software using the principles of software development acquired in earlier stages of the programme. It will also serve as a technical preparation for the research-oriented project to be undertaken at Stage 4. Before embarking on the project you will have produced, during your term abroad, a literature review in an area of Computer Science; it is expected that your project topic will normally be in this area
On successful completion of this module you should be able to:
Module Specific Skills and Knowledge
