This module represents the work that you do for your employer. It provides a further opportunity for you to apply what you have learned during the apprenticeship in your day-to-day work and to enhance your workplace skills and behaviours. The aim is to further the integration and internalisation of skills and knowledge. You will enhance your skill as a reflective practitioner, continuing with the process of consciously reflecting on your own practice and making changes to improve the quality and effectiveness of your work.
Your employer will contribute to the assessment of your performance in this module. Any issues with confidentiality and/or security will be addressed between the university, your employer and you, allowing for projects of business value to be undertaken using real data where possible. Throughout this module you will be in regular contact with your academic mentor.
This module involves project work, completed as part of your normal day-to-day work, in which you apply the skills and knowledge that you have acquired during the course.
The aim of this module is to ensure that you maintain a cycle of learning, practice and reflection as an integral part of your professional life, and to provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate an improving standard in the practice of your occupational specialism.
On successful completion of this module you should be able to:
Module Specific Skills and Knowledge
1. Fluent in written communications and able to articulate complex issues.
2. Makes concise, engaging and well-structured verbal presentations, arguments and explanations.
3. Able to deal with different, competing interests within and outside the organisation with excellent negotiation skills.
4. Able to identify the preferences, motivations, strengths and limitations of other people and apply these insights to work more effectively with and to motivate others.

Deferral – if you miss an assessment for certificated reasons judged acceptable by the Mitigation Committee, you will normally be deferred in the assessment. The mark given for a re-assessment taken as a result of deferral will not be capped and will be treated as it would be if it were your first attempt at the assessment.
Referral – if you have failed the module overall (i.e. a final overall module mark of less than 40%) you may be required to sit a referral. The mark given for a re-assessment taken as a result of referral will be capped at 40%.
