Our Business and Management degrees draw upon disciplines from across the social sciences, and give emphasis to entrepreneurship, sustainable approaches, global connectivity, and the management and leadership challenges of the future. You will also investigate organisational models and behaviours, and the associated business environment.
A defining characteristic of our programmes is flexibility, which is built into your degree structure in two ways. We offer a huge range of elective subjects (options), especially in the second and final years. This means you can pursue your own interests and shape the character of your programme towards, for example, entrepreneurship, marketing, leadership, or a language.
You also have the opportunity on any of our Business and Management programmes to enhance your degree with a year abroad, or an industrial placement, giving you not only a competitive edge in the graduate job market but also incredible experiences to remember for life. A Year Abroad is compulsory for our 4-year BA International Business and Modern Languages programme, giving you an immersive language study experience.
There is no requirement for you to have studied business before coming to us, as we will not assume any prior knowledge of the subject.

It is a very practical course and provides lots of hands on experience, we get to see the real-life correlation between our studies and the functioning of an organisation.
My favourite module is International Management and Globalisation, as it considers organisations from all around the world, helping us understand different markets and their operating conditions.

I really enjoyed how intimate the course was, in the sense we got so much time to engage with our lecturers and peers – and there was freedom to really explore your areas of interest.
The best highlights for me though, were the location, the people and the programme’s focus on sustainability. I couldn’t choose just one! You’re in an amazing space and part of an internationally diverse community. Contribute to it, learn from it and grow with it.
