As an international student I have found the amount of support available on my course and from across the whole university has been really helpful. Living in Cornwall is undoubtedly one of my most precious experiences.
I’ve been actively involved with Falmouth and Exeter Students' Union since my first year, becoming president of the Engineers Without Borders society and getting involved with several student led volunteer projects. Joining clubs and societies means you can enjoy the 'study-life' balance and explore many beautiful places whilst meeting new people from both the University of Exeter and Falmouth University.
One thing I found very helpful as an international student is that there is always someone I can ask for help. Both university staff members and students from the years above are willing to help as much as they can, or give me guidance to seek help from others. For the University of Exeter in particular, there are many ways to connect with international students such as the Global Chums Scheme and several international societies, you’ll never feel like you’re on your own.
