Study with the Exeter Law School
By studying the rules that bind a society together you will sharpen your mind and strengthen your understanding of the world. Our degrees deliver a rigorous understanding of legal principles, as well as an examination of law in different theoretical and social contexts, with a constant eye on regional and global developments.
You will study in applied settings – community legal projects, advocacy, pro bono work, small learning communities, mooting, or via a four-year work placement programme. Our degrees give you the skills to pursue a career as a lawyer and equip you with a firm foundation for other careers. We offer a series of Law employability events and also offer dedicated advisors to help with placements and careers advice, whilst law societies introduce you to potential employers through a series of networking events.
Our programmes in Cornwall allow you to combine Law with Business.
The University of Exeter has been the right choice for me, undoubtedly. Its healthy mix of focused study and welcoming social environments, as well as the support that the staff are willing to provide, makes the process of going, surviving and thriving in university not only achievable, but relatively easy to accomplish.
Going to university could very easily turn into a daunting process without the right kind of support and environment, and I have been fortunate enough to find comfort in both here.

Studying LLB Law
I chose to study at Exeter because the University has a very strong Law School and a very strong Business School and is well-recognised in the UK and abroad.
The part that I enjoyed the most was the welcoming atmosphere of the Penryn campus and the Law School as well as my cohort. My favourite highlight of the programme modules were the company law modules available in third year, I personally found the content most enjoyable and the teaching style was engaging but informative through a focus on contextualising the material.
