Parking
Please note that visitor parking at the St Luke’s Campus consists of merely a handful of spaces.
Official visitors may park in any parking areas on the campus only if they have a visitor hanging permit provided by the University. Permits must be obtained in advance from the relevant School.
Other visitors, without official permits will have to use the nearest public car park which is at The Triangle, off Heavitree Road.
Car sharing
The University has a private car sharing group through carsharedevon for staff and students – a free and easy way to save money and help cut congestion.
By bus/coach
The St Luke's Campus is served by the UNI bus route. The UNI bus route includes St Luke’s Campus, the City Centre and Streatham Campus (download UNI Timetable PDF).
National Express coaches (08705 808080) call at Exeter Coach Station. The local UNI bus connects the coach station to Streatham Campus. Get off the bus at the top of The Queen’s Drive.
By rail
Exeter has two railway stations - Exeter St David’s (main station) and Central. Exeter St David's station is about 30 minutes walk and Exeter Central Station approximately 20 minutes walk from the St Luke’s Campus. Taxis are available from both stations. The D bus stops outside St David’s and Central Stations and will take you to St Luke's Campus (see bus details above). The average journey time from London Paddington is 2 hours 30 minutes to Exeter.

By taxi
Apple Taxis Exeter (01392 666666) have a dedicated taxi rank on campus. Apple Taxis have offices at both Exeter St David's rail station and Exeter International Airport.

Direct flights operate into Exeter from Dublin, Belfast and airports in the United Kingdom including Aberdeen, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Guernsey, Jersey, Newcastle and Norwich.

About the St Luke's Campus
It is located on the east side of the city centre, just over a mile from Streatham Campus across the city to the north-west.
Founded in 1854 as a teacher training college, students have studied at St Luke's for over 160 years. Throughout that time the campus has grown and developed – currently, engagement activity is underway on an ambitious vision to shape the campus’s future as a hub of health and wellbeing research and education.
Although much has changed over the years, St Luke's has retained its vibrant, collegiate atmosphere and sense of history. Alumni of St Luke's proudly refer to themselves as 'Lukies' and hold a deep affection for their former place of study.
As you walk through the arches of the traditional North Cloisters you will see the lawns of the quadrangle surrounded by modern teaching buildings. Facilities include:
- a fully equipped library
- IT facilities and support
- modern seminar rooms, lecture theatres and an art room
- a sports hall
- a health and fitness studio
- an indoor heated swimming pool
- a chapel
- Muslim prayer rooms
- Cross Keys cafe and study space, providing students with a large communal space in which to eat, study and socialise.
The Students’ Guild organises many events and activities on campus and students at St Luke’s can also take full advantage of all the academic, social and sporting facilities at Streatham Campus.
St Luke's is directly opposite a Waitrose store, five minutes' walk from two areas of local shops, a 15 minute walk from the city centre and about a 35 minute walk from Streatham campus. Buses to the city centre, train station and to Streatham campus can be caught directly outside the gates, and run very frequently.
