Kay Eldergill

Director of Human Resources, Met Office

Kay has over 10 years’ experience in Human Resources and is HR Director at the Met Office. The majority of her experience is the Met Office working with people in the areas of world leading science, 24/7 operations, commercial business and corporate services in a public sector context. Kay is a member of the Executive team with particular responsibility for the design and implementation of the People strategy at the Met Office to ensure they have the right people, with the right skills performing at their best.

Previously Kay worked for HM Customs and Excise and Bupa and has a BSc in Psychology and a MSc in Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck. Her interest is in people, the mind and behavior and how research can be practically used to improve the performance of individuals, teams and organizations.

A Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and a member of the British Psychological Society she can utilize a range of psychometric tools along with being a qualified coach and workplace mediator.

Kay is Vice Chair of the Exeter and Heart of Devon Skills Board and a trustee of Age UK Exeter.
