Support groups and webinars

Wellbeing Services offer a broad range of workshops to help support students in their time at Exeter. These are currently interactive online workshops that allow you to participate and learn new ways to approach different areas of your life, including your wellbeing, its effects on how you study, or your disability. The webinar facilitator will be able to advise you on the content of each session.

Our workshops focus on concerns that are frequently raised by students. In this supportive space, you are offered practical tips and techniques to help you work through any problems you may be experiencing. Students often value the shared experience of a group and tell us that it helps to feel they are not the only one struggling with something. While there is opportunity for discussion, there is no expectation that you take part.

Workshops

This is a 4-week group which is specifically tailored for PGRs covering a variety of topics including, building assertiveness, managing perfectionism, reducing stress, and improving sleep. The techniques discussed are based on cognitive behavioural therapy and discussed in a supportive environment with other PGRs via webinar.

Sessions will take place on Fridays from 11:30 to 12:30 on the following dates:

    • Session 1 - Friday 24th May
    • Session 2 - Friday 31st May
    • Session 3 - Friday 7th June
    • Session 4 - Friday 14th June

If you're interested in taking part in these sessions, please email wellbeing@exeter.ac.uk to express your interest.
